Here are the Salsa Sensation instructors, each coming to
salsa with very different backgrounds. They all bring something
new and exciting to teaching Salsa. The team are all very
enthusiastic and keen. All have varied experience levels
from dancing to teaching Salsa and yet they all have the
same passion, which we feel is essential not only to teach
a lesson but to infuse the fun and excitement to every customer
from absolute beginners to advanced level. All teachers
are more than happy to dance with anyone after the lesson.
Especially you, absolute beginners! So use this to YOUR
advantage and let their inspiration help you.

"I have always loved to dance, and admire those who have
studied hard and made it their career. I've left it a bit
too late to make it a career, but, it's never too late to
learn, and that's what I love about Salsa Sensation, the
levels of the classes, the fact that you never stop learning
new moves, I love everything about the dance, the music,
the steps, the freedom you have to bring your own style
to the dance and I love the fact that you cannot stop grinning
when you are on the dance foor.
When the chance came up to join the team I jumped at the
opportunity, and have been teaching since Sept 2009.
I enjoy teaching absolute beginners, I had such fun on
my course, I like to bring that same element to the teaching
in my classes, it's so rewarding seeing the people progress
through absolute beginners, to beginners and into improvers,
it's even more rewarding when you see how much fun people
are having in the process."
"I only started dancing at the age of 16 when a friend
dragged me to an after school class. This was only because
there was a guest hip-hop teacher from America and she did
not want to go alone! Since that experience I’ve been hooked.
Around the same time I saw The Salsa Sensation Team dancing
on the high street at the Sheppey Carnival. I found out
the information to get involved and I’ve never looked back!
I can’t believe the confidence dancing has given me!
And now I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to teach
with the Salsa Sensation Team! I am now able to develop
my own skills as a dancer whilst passing on what I have
learnt to others hoping they too, gain the same satisfactions
as I did and still do."
"I have been dancing ever since I could walk. I began ballet,
tap and modern jazz training very early at the age of just
2. Salsa however is a new discovery for me, and I love it!
After working abroad for a few years as a dancer and entertainer
I started to experiment with salsa tracks and loved the
feeling the music gave me. I had my first salsa lesson with
Salsa Sensation in December 2009 and from then I was hooked!
Now I have been given the fantastic opportunity to join
the Salsa Sensation Team and I can't wait to see where it
"I started dancing in 2008. Being told from a friend about
a local salsa night I went along intending to just see what
it was all about and to watch. However I found myself being
asked to dance and after some persuasion I found myself
being led onto the dance floor. I was mesmerised and amazed
by all the fabulous dancers and wishing I was as good as
Just one night and I was hooked! I carried on going to
the salsa nights and went to Inn On The Lake Hotel and met
Steve Eden. I continued to enjoy Steve’s classes, and making
new friends. I came to realise Salsa had become something
I NEEDED to do. I’m never happier than when I’m dancing
(my family would tell you I’m addicted! I think they could
It was October 2010 when I checked my messages on Facebook
one day and nearly cried! I’d received a message from Steve
asking if I wanted to teach. I couldn’t believe it! But
quickly said yes! I walked around in a daze for about a
week! It had always secretly been my dream. Being able to
teach makes me happy as I want to give back all the help
and guidance I have been given from day one."
"I have always danced from a very early age. I began ballet
from the age of 2 and have not stopped dancing since. I
first got introduced to salsa in 2002, when a friend wanted
me to go along with her to a class, she gave up not long
after and here I am still loving it and its music, I'm a
sucker for a latin beat. I am looking forward to teaching
people the basics, then watching them progress, and hopefully
love it as much as I do.
I trained at arts educational trust stage school to dance
from the age of 11 and after graduation danced in the UK
and abroad until 1982. Then worked in retail until 1999
when I became a driving instructor until 2012.from then
'till now I've been working as an undertaker. When I started
learning salsa I realised how much I had missed dancing.
I have 2 daughters aged 19 @ 21. Photo to follow once I
find a good recent one.
